Business Jacket

43-year-old Tom felt like his life had passed him by. He never went to the big parties in college, never made many friends in life, never pursued his dream job, and never started a family. He wished he could try it all again. His wish did not fall on deaf ears, for one night he fell asleep and woke up as somebody different.

After an initial panic, Tom began to make sense of what happened to him and how. He was now a short, athletic, young woman with short, slick hair. This girl was probably a lesbian, he thought. I guess I am too now. He was not going to waste this opportunity at a new life. He started attending parties, hooking up with other women whenever he could, and pushed to reach new heights.

As the months went by, Tom became aware of how many milestones he had already crossed. People called and texted him unprompted, his efforts at work were noticed more often, and his choices generally led to positive outcomes. Now here he was, oozing with confidence, opening up his jacket in public with nothing underneath just to draw the gaze of the crowd and see what happened.
