Stranded in the Apocalypse (Part 1): Turn for the Worst

Cameron wasn't particularly intelligent or accomplished; he just wanted an easy job with high earning potential. One day he came across the words 'minimally invasive' and 'high reward' in an ad for a national lab. They were looking for test subjects in an experimental procedure. A young woman was recently pronounced brain-dead, but her body was completely intact. Scientists were interested in whether the secret to restoring her life lay with consciousness, not the brain itself. Cameron gladly accepted the job and underwent a quick procedure to transfer his mind into the woman's body. His original body would be kept alive in a medically-induced coma while he came in every week for a routine checkup. For eight months, he would be living it up as a pretty girl. What could go wrong?

Seven months later came the day that would live in infamy. Everyone remembered where they were when the grid collapsed. Anarchy erupted across the world, the rich and powerful either went into hiding or were executed in the streets. Wars were fought just for food and water. For Cameron, the situation was even worse. Without electricity, his original body simply died in the lab. Now he was stuck as a woman for the rest of his life. A short, blonde, busty woman with no appreciable skills or assets besides a pretty face. In this new world, Cameron knew he would encounter terrible threats, from human traffickers to warlords, all with a taste for sexual violence.
