The Gang's Back Together

Despite going to the same college, Alan never really hung out with his old friends from high school. He studied psychology while Grant majored in communications and Julian did computer science, so they were always on different parts of campus with overlapping schedules. One day, he reached out to see if they had a free weekend, and to his surprise they were both available. Alan was so excited to meet up. He did leave out one critical detail before meeting up with them: he was a girl now.

"Wait, really?" Grant asked. "How is that even possible?"

"Our psychology lab," Alan answered. "We're undertaking a new program we call 'Swap Class'. It essentially involves using a machine to rewrite neural pathways in the brain to create a meronym of mutual cognitive mimesis."

"Okay, you lost me there," Grant replied.

"Have you gotten used to this new life?" Julian chimed in. "What's different...   besides the obvious?"

"Well, besides the obvious..." Alan looked down as his petite stature, emphasizing his small boobs and his missing penis. "... I'm getting a lot more attention from strangers, especially men. Oh, and everyone assumes I need help even with simple tasks.

"But what happens if the machine breaks?" Grant added. "Or what if the girl in your body gets in an accident or something? Would you be stuck like that?"

"That is a risk, yes. But you know what? I've come to really enjoy being a girl. Anyway, what's going on with you guys? Anything exciting in your lives? I've been meaning to catch up."

Julian straightened his back. "Well, not to change the subject, but I wanted you guys to know that I met someone. It's pretty serious now, and I think she might really be the one."

"Dude, that's great! High-five, man." Grant congratulated his buddy. Alan grinned an open smile. This reminded him of the conversation they had when getting their college acceptance letters. It was just like old times.
