Working Through It (Part 3)

Part 1, Part 2

After a few days of tests, Stanley was allowed to leave the hospital and go home. Or at least, what he called his home. He wasn't the richest dude (or woman) in the world, and he currently lived out of a crappy trailer parked on the side of the road. But it had a comfy couch, a TV, and a kitchenette, so he could make do until his luck turned around.

Not knowing what to do with his life, Stanley just tossed and turned on the couch trying to get comfortable. He was extremely conscious of the mounds of fat on his chest, so sleeping on his stomach was no longer an option. Wearing pants also made him feel claustrophobic, as it reminded him of his wider hips and missing appendage. He just laid there in a makeshift tank top and panties. At least he could fully fit on the couch now.

Being a middle-aged woman, Stanley started becoming overtly concerned with his outward appearance. He began to be obsessed with skin care products, even having a few shipped to nearby houses, where he would take them from the mailbox. He wasn't in terrible physical shape, but by default he was much weaker than he used to be. There was room for improvement, to be sure. Deciding to try out the latest beauty cream, he finally stood up and walked over to the bathroom.

Opening the box, he took out the bottle. Warning, the instructions said. Contains progesterone. Do not use when pregnant or after menopause. Stanley stumbled backwards a bit as it registered with him the lengthly and painful ordeals he would encounter. His body began trembling with anxiety and tears welled up behind his eyes. This will pass, this will pass, he repeated the psychologist's words in his head. He needed a a shower to calm down.
